Why Not Try Our Doggy Ice Cream Recipe

Doggy Ice Cream Recipe

As the weather gets warmer we’re all looking for a nice icy treat to cool down our pooch on those hot summer afternoons and what better snack than some delicious ice cream!?

We love this recipe because it really couldn’t be easier, all you will need is:

• Some bananas
• A splash of water
• A blender
• A container for the ice cream

How simple is that?

Start by pealing the bananas, chopping them into rough chunks and placing them into the container, pop the container into your freezer and freeze overnight.

Once the bananas are frozen, take them out and toss them into your blender. Pop in a splash of water and blend together until you’re left with a smooth mixture! Pour the banana mixture back into your container and you’re good to go!

We recommend popping it back into the freezer for a few hours before serving for the best consistency.

There are plenty of options for how to serve this to your pup. You could try stuffing an enrichment toy like a kong or spreading the mixture on to a lickimat! Or you could even use some of Himalayan Yak Chews for a little ‘popsicle stick’ by pouring the mixture into a paper or plastic cup and placing the chew in the freezer overnight and you should be peel the cup away the next
day to serve.

Rather stick to something simple? Grab a bowl and your good to go, however you choose to serve it we know your pups will love it!

The fun doesn’t have to stop there either, why not take your ice cream that step further and whip up a pup-friendly sundae!? You could use our 100% Natural Peanut Butter for the perfect nutty drizzle, or perhaps our 100% Natural Pure Beef Strips for a meaty take on the classic flake? The possibilities are endless and we’d love to see your creations.
